Now, I have to say, Out of all the audiobooks i've listened to, none have had a background soundtrack throughout the whole book! Sure we get a few seconds of music in the beginning and the end of fantasy audiobooks, but this, even shiva's footsteps are performed! The music along with the clever writing skills of Amish, and the narration by Manish transports you completely to Meluha for an experience unlike any other.
Amish is an amazing writer and his accolades give him the credit he is due. I first picked up Immortals of meluha paperback when I was on the way to india from u.s. I have listened to many audiobooks as an avid reader who gets less and less time to enjoy listening and telling stories. This is the first book in a trilogy on Shiva, the simple man whose karma recast him as our Mahadev, the God of Gods.
